Action Learning

Action Learning Sets are groups or sets of peers who come together to support and challenge each other over a series of regular meetings over a defined period of time. The set provides a safe and confidential space in which to explore questions, challenges, opportunities or dilemmas. Sets can meet in-person or work online.

“I’ve found being part of an Action Learning Set really useful and liberating. I’m not usually one for introspection and my professional life allows little opportunity for reflection. Therefore the Set has been really useful to both work through issues and to engage with others. Nicola is a fantastic facilitator. She makes sure that you are comfortable and understand what is expected of you and she keeps the Set focussed and moving forward”.   Ross Burnett

“The set offers an opportunity to talk in a confidential space, which is invaluable in an age of speed and urgency. Nicola brings a calmness, clarity and space to the sessions she facilitates. She has great insight and a real skill for holding a group and keeping sessions focused and motivated”. Helen Watson

“Where I work we often say that some of the best designs are the ones you don't notice. I feel like that with Nicola's facilitation. I don't think I really understand how much skill, effort and training go into what Nicola gives to the group but I know that she's a large part of why our sessions work so well and we all feel so comfortable either speaking up or being silent. The fact that all of us wish to continue with more sessions is a testament to her. She's organised the sessions really well, which included taking on new technology, and I appreciate her calmness, flexibility, humour and interest in others. Thank you Nicola for making our Action Learning Set so engaging and useful”.   Petra
